Committees
Fundraising Council
Facilitates JLFH fundraising initiatives to create league revenue for use throughout the year for community causes, including Road to the Bowl and Next to New Sale. Both events have a chairperson to oversee the events.
Organization Council
Maintains the day-to-day operations of the League and consists of the following chair positions:
- Social Chair – organizes social events
- Communications Chair – maintains website and other league publicity
- Arrangements Chair – organizes meeting locations and speakers
- New Member Coordinator – organizes and lead the new member experience and meetings
Community Council
Spearheads the community outreach and volunteer programs of the League. This council consists of the following chair positions:
- Winter Runderland Chair – organizes this fundraising event with Manhattan Running Company
- Literacy Chair – lead the Books for Babies campaign, community bookshelves, and Library Discovery Packs
- Service Project Chair – service projects are evaluated and chosen as well as theDo-In-A-Day (DIAD and the Do-In-A-Meeting (DIAM) events
Governance Council
This council is overseen by the President and the Governance Board. The Governance Board deals with the long-range planning of the League. Duties of this committee include: community research, nominating, budget planning, and by-law review.
